The welfare of the children will always be our first priority and we have a zero tolerance to child abuse. We aim to create a child safe and child friendly environment where children feel safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Children\u2019s right to safety and participation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Auditions for children 15 years or under will be conducted with two adults in the room. This can be made up of either two Fountainhead employees\/freelancers or a Fountainhead employee\/freelancer and parent\/guardian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We listen to and act on any concerns children, or their parents, raise with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Valuing diversity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We value diversity at Fountainhead and do not tolerate any discriminatory practices. To achieve this, we:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Promote the cultural safety, participation and empowerment of Aboriginal children and their families<\/li><li>Promote the cultural safety, participation and empowerment of children from culturally and\/or linguistically diverse backgrounds and their families<\/li><li>Welcome children with a disability and their families and act to promote their participation<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Recruiting employees and freelancers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fountainhead seeks to attract and retain the best employees and freelancers. We provide support and supervision, so people feel valued, respected and fairly treated. We have developed a Code of Conduct to provide guidance to our employees and freelancers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reporting a child safety concern of complaint<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Antonia Murphy has been appointed as Child Safety Person with specific responsibility for responding to any complaints made by employees\/freelancers, parents or children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Risk Management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We recognise the importance of a risk management approach to minimising the potential for child abuse or harm to occur and use this information in our policy, procedures and activity planning.
